Polygon Table

I ran across this and wanted to post it. It’s a polygon table for 3D. Enjoy!

I wanted to post my star video again. I added some new layers, and a glow effect on it which made it even more neon looking. I also used the Wiggle expression to effect the scale, position and rotation of the star. To jazz it up even more, I put a movie of Amsterdam at night behind it to give the movie more motion instead of a static image.

I think this effect works pretty well. The original effect seen in the Sprint commercials uses actual flashlights and slows down time, but this effect almost mimics it. You have to put random light sources jumping around to give it a little imperfection and randomness as well as a hotspot on where the light is coming from.  Anyway, Enjoy!

I wanted to post this, it’s more experimenting with light streaks as seen in the Ipod ads. Pretty cool effect, still learning.

Band Posters

For a while now I have been designing posters for my band, Dave Hates Chico. I love to find crazy pics or old time rock and roll posters and use them as my base for the poster. I have done some pretty fun ones over the few months for shows we have played and so I wanted to post them here on my blog so that you could all see. Anyway, hope you like.

Posters of Shows I have designed for my band.

I recently did a tutorial on how to re-create the light effects from Sprints latest commercials. Watch Tutorial

Anyway, it was a very great tutorial and it taught me some stuff I did not know. The tutorial had a image of a city in the back, but I grabbed some video of Amsterdam at night to have motion in the background since it looked weird to have the strokes moving but not the background. Anyway, what came out was pretty cool. Have a look and if you like, do the tutorial. Enjoy!

Boxing Promo

I recently did this as practice on making a movie look like it was on the jumbotron with CC Ball Action. It turned out pretty cool. Enjoy!

Video Teaser

I just learned about gradients in the texture tool in Cinema 4D and it’s really cool. So I tried it out on some 3D balls I was messing with. It’s a nice texture and you get a sharp two color pattern. Have a look!

I recently did a video where some letters DHC (my band) exploded. It was more or less a test to see if I could learn more about particles, cloudlets and using null objects with the shatter effect. It still needs some work, but I thought I would post a snippet here. Enjoy
